boo backed bow draw length? handle length?
« on: March 16, 2009, 07:11:38 pm »
Hi I'm new to this and this is my first backed bow... The bow is Juniper with a very thin boo backing (1/8" about) it's 46 1/2" in length what do you suggest for the draw length? Also the handle look a little big at 6" should I make it a little smaller? The bow isn't yet tillered.

Thanks  ;D

Colton
The bow's in there, you just have to find it, and that is Boetry.

First off if your new you shouldn't be trying to push the envelope so much.46" bow for anyone is pushing the limits.
With a 6" rigid handle I would say max DL of 20" with 18" being a better choice.

I don't want a six inch handle haha I'm going to shorten it. And I have skeptical help  ;D I'm just hoping it'll work out. I won't be too surprised if it doesn't.
