AAArrrrggggg....! Bandsaw broke...
« on: December 27, 2008, 07:24:59 pm »
Since Weds pm...

all with TIGHTBOND 3...  thanks all for reassurance that it's good enough.

Billets spliced.  Four handle blanks glued on.  Three rough shaped.

BANDSAW BROKE yesterday... took my daughter shopping for the day

Found two ladies linen pants at goodwill.  Two old fleamarket draw knives and some scrapers, found in old tool box, being resurrected. New 4in1 rasp's a piece of Chinese junk... too dull for words.  I do  have a good 10" half round and a plasticut 12" flat, just slower.  Just found Surform shorty and an old 3/32" chainsaw file.

The one blank I did with system 3 epoxy is still hardening (since Weds PM).  Yes, I mixed it 2:1 per instructions.

More to come...

Happy Holidays, and thanks for the practical advice.  Reading up on tillering tonight... fingers crossed...

I am assuming I glue on the backing before I start serious tillering.... Please advise
