building a pyrimid bow

I have a stave of white oak 68in, sealed with wood glue and drying in my garage. How long should it dry before I do anything? This is my first bow so any advice helps.

Depends when was it cut, how large is the stave, what temperature and humidity is your garage?

If its recently cut you can work it down to a stiff floor tiller and it will dry much faster. May want to strap it to a 2x4 so it don't twist though.

What Dana said. It will dry much faster if you rough it out to near-bow dimensions.

The stave was cut 2 days ago and is 2,1\2in by 2 1/2in on bottom and 1 5/8in by 2in in top.
