Cool looking bow, I wouldn't have thought Holly could be used - the big one's are just shrubs around here. I read an article on that type of take down, was interesting.
When you come upon a track or trail you do not know, follow it to the point of knowing.

I left the bark on while drying, and sealed the ends.  No different from any other wood and it was fine.  Plain old American Holly.  I layed out of work ( cough, cough) to get a few more things done today, so I may start on the takedown sometime today.

Cowboy, some of the Holly around here can reach 1 foot or bigger diameter.  There is a huge one at Nuggets house that he had a tree stand in.  That must have been some prickly cover.
