Been wanting to build a black locust bow but having trouble finding suitable wood. Well my uncle cut some down and I scored some billet material. This is some of the nicest stuff I've seen around here...the grain was so straight it only took one wedge to split each piece. The rings are nice and thick to. So got the ends painted. The cracks are worse than they are plus the billets are over 3 ft long so room to trim if needed. Probably wait a few weeks to get some of the initial moisture out and then start controlled drying so I can get started on one
