Superb Craftsmanship in every detail! What exactly is "field maple"? One wood I've never heard of? Nice Bow!

The bow shoots well, it's fast, but a little weak for my taste ... I like stronger bows about 50 - 60 lb ... field maple - Acer Campestre

Well done. Very nice job on a sapling bow. The pattern on the snake skin is quite unique, as asked previously, do you know the species of snake?

I wasn't familiar with the species of maple but a little research confirmed it is native to Europe and is introduced into the U.S.

Thank you all for the comments. Minor adjustments were made to the bow with dry heat, but it was not tanned. Here is a photo of raw wood ...
