Recycling Fir Door

Contemplating making my own flat bow.  We have several wood stores here great for exotic wood shopping.
Yesterday I was in my shed and found one of the original storm doors from this house when we moved in over 30 years ago.
Its definitely fir and when I flipped it on end - its the best 1/4 sawn piece of lumber I've ever seen.  The house was built 1955
and the original plans (which I have) show this door.  Would this be worthwhile working into a bow?

Fir?? I'd say no. Will make some good arrows. Will not go to waste..

if you are looking to build a short hunting weight bow or a design that requires heat bending reflex delex etc, then I would say there are better woods to work with.

if you want a long bow for casual or target use it might be worthwhile.

I backed a some larch with a lam cut from a maple board and it worked fine.

arrows, yes if it has a fine enough rings per inch
