Hey there... ive got some juniper trees that i just found and ive been wanting to make a juniper sinew bow... are there junipers that are bad? Any idea what kind this is?

That looks like it could be Eastern Red Cedar which is great for sinew backed bows. But, where are you located? A lot of juniper species look pretty similar. Granted, I've never heard of any true juniper being particularly bad from the others.

Yeah i thought it was eastern red cedar aswell and sinew backing it is the plan... i live in Virginia so it does grow here...
