That's coming along well Mani. You did a nice job on the handle and the profile looks great.

Nice job! I just got home with two red oak boards, gonna try and see if I can find a bow in one of them.

Cowboy, yes it's a stain, SEDONA RED from Minwax

Keenan and Gordon, yeah I'm really surprised by the profile too, 1 3/4" of reflex after belly tempering, and keept 1/4" so far , maybe because I whent sooo slow tillering this one ;D ;D, didn't even brace it  untill I think I was pulling 16" or so.

Manny I just went back and looked at the last pic on page 3 I can't wait to see that incredible snake completeted. very nice color on the heart wood.   ;D  Keenan
