Beavertail handle wrap

 I'm putting a new handle wrap on a longbow.Thinking about a beavertail wrap.The tail I'm purchasing from a primitive archery dealer and is already processed etc.Anything special about using this product?Fit etc.

I've done a couple beavertail handle wraps and recommend you glue a 1/2" wide, thin strip of leather on the underside of each end where you punch the holes for your laces. Otherwise you may tear the beavertail wrap when pulling the laces tight.  I learned this from Pearl Drums and it worked great.

What Will said. It is more difficult to work with than leather because it doesn't stretch like leather does. It makes a fine handle wrap if done right though.
