You could drill some holes in that fancy picnic table and mount a vise on each end  >:D   Add 2 more work areas to your set up.
I started out with nothin' and I still got most of it left

I told Shell right off that this table was gonna develop character quickly. That cypress is just soft and everything that touches it wil leave its mark. If you wanna clamp a stave to it, go ahead.  8)

If Scott's bow barn is like it is around my place there will be some rules from the wife!  Have you ever seen anything that Scott built that was not special?  Wish I had a way of posting the blades
he made for me!  Joe

Thanks Joe & Pappy.

Shell wanted to break in the table yesterday with a picnic for Father's Day. So she cooked up some bacon and loaded trays and we headed to the barn. I had a fire goin and we had our first meal on the table. I'm pretty sure she was secretly wiping back tears she was so pleased with the table and shed. It's just been a fun project and a nice place we both enjoy.

Joe, some of your contributions have already gone up and others are in the process. They look great and I can't thank you and Eloise enough. Please send me pics when you get those knives done. I'd love to see them finished.

Thanks Guy. After 18 years I reckon I can say she's a keeper.

Had a small "break in" gathering with some folks from the church bringing over pot luck. We had 50 people gathered in and around the barn and it didn't feel crowded at all.

Now just need to plan a weekend for some bow and rock work.

Looks like lots of good times ahead Scott. Very nice bow barn. Congratulations on your 18 th anniversary. Susie and I will have 20 in two weeks. Glad we both found keepers.
