Couple of my guns

The two guns together are both kit builds. One is a Caywood England 62 cal. smoothbore. I have taken deer and turkey with it. The bottom one is a Chambers Mark Silver 58 cal Virginia Rifle. I have taken several deer with it, including my best 9 pt. The one rifle pictured alone is a built from scratch 45 cal. which I channeled all parts with gouges and chisels. All parts were purchased in the rough and finished to an old look. This gun has been sold.
I have also built a several other guns that I sold and assembled for good friends. As they say it is a labor of love when you build black powder guns.

I'm working on my gear for a Florida Long Hunter personna. There is not a lot of information on the clothes for this climate even though it was one of the first territories settled.

Mullet, I think a loincloth and tricorn hat is all you need down there..

You could look at the Creek or Cree clothing. The eastern moccasin is modeled from the Creek pucker toe. A thin pair of braintan leggings, loincloth and medium weight fustian frock shirt split up the front should be about it. Just watch out for those ticks and skeeters getting under that loincloth. I would also suspect the Seminole clothing influenced the hunters clothing in the later years.

Too many mosquito's for loincloth and leggings. I have a pair of smoked, brain tanned pants, a period light weight cotton shirt, and Mikasuki/Seminole moccasins along with 3 other pairs.
