Looking for my Christmas Tree
« on: December 12, 2016, 02:50:26 pm »
I've been getting cedar trees for a Christmas 🎄 for over 30 years. Yesterday was the day I got this years. I have to put one main one with about 4 or 5 little saplings. Found some bonus red osier shoots. Ended up with 5 really nice ones and a couple questionable ones. Let it snow let it snow let it snow.

Thanks Bill kind of a Snoopy Tree. The first year my wife saw my tree I bought home she wasn't happy. But once I put the lights and decorations on it she thought it was ok. One year we got a "real" tree and she said that was the last. To messy wanted the cedar again. They smell great and aren't messy at all. I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder and I sure like the green it saves me.
That is definitely the easy part of making the arrows but I think I should get a few good shafts from them. Starting to feel like Christmas hope everyone has a Merry one.

Nice tree BJ.  When I was a kid I remember my Dad going out and cutting a cedar tree for Christmas.  The living room was 2 stories tall in our house and the tree touched the ceiling.
I started out with nothin' and I still got most of it left

Nice tree, we use to do that every year at my grandmothers house, love the smell of Cedar and wood smoke from the fireplace in the lower room we called it when I was a kid, really makes it seem like Christmas. :) My favorite time of year. Remember the reason for the season, hope everyone had a blessed one. :)
