50 inch hickory

I have a hickory bow i'm working on. I got it braced and the string doesn't sit right down the middle of the handle. It over to the right a bit, maybe a 1/4 inch to 3/8 off center. I'm planning on it beinging a right handed bow. So my question is can i leave it as is or should i try and straiten the limbs so the string lays dead center

you could try to fix, but you could always use opposing side nocks and this will help string track to whatever side you make them a little better.

You can also cut the nocks in a little deeper on the off side. (Thanks Jawge  )

My vote would be see where it gets out of line and heat treat to straighten...

So far, I've only ever made one bow where the string lays in the center. It's alot easier to turn it slightly in hand instead of twisting the limbs.

Ditto. Except that I don't even bother turning my hand when shooting. 

I would just keep working, and not worry about it.

Thanks guys. I'm going to leave it as is and try it. What do i have to lose, i'll just have to start on another one.

I'm with Greg,I would bend it.It will shoot like it is and some like them that way because it makes arrows easier to match,but the main problem I have when I do that is you will get more arm slap.
Other than that no problem.Hickory is easy to bend with heat so I always tweek them.

Thanks Pappy, I was kind of wondering about arm slap. I might just heat it and try to bend it strait.
