old blue
« on: June 12, 2016, 10:25:01 pm »
I don't know about other parts of the country. But around here people sure used this for help alot.
I been in the woods 1000's of times for what ever reason. In my travels I've came across 100's of old dumps. I picked up any old glass that was kn-apple. Older glass is made and tempered differently. Kn-apps differently for the better.

Well I must have put 20 of the blue bottles from the 40's,50's,60's maybe. I'm sure some of you older guys knows what it is.

Here's both sides. My son did the wire work. To give to a friend.

I really like the blue glass too. I made some glass points into Christmas decorations and let all the kids and grandkids pick one. The blue ones where the 1st to go.

There old milk-amag-niza bottles. Wow thats not spelled right, I'd find them in 3 sizes. Little 4 oz 16th thick,8 oz. 1/8 thick. And bigger flat 4 inch wide.3 1/6 th's. Nice 4 x 10,12 inch flat side. I hace jars full of points. I've did a lot of glass points.

I love the green wine bottle bottems. UNREAL COLOR.

I've got a jar of point's (not full 20 some) I've killed bucks and doe's, A well as gobblers. with stone points. As well as a couple broken points on missed shots.

I have a broken blue point. I shot a 6 7 year old doe (202 #s).My farm is surrounded by crop farms, beans, corn alfa. Shot her at 12 yards, Went through middle of the shoulder and broke into on back of other shoulder. I have both parts. I'll look up pic's and pot some of them.

  I'll post some pic's. later.
