No 2 from trackers obsidian
« on: April 29, 2016, 09:09:12 pm »
I finally found the time to complete the 2nd Indian bullet just before it got dark. It is very thin and colorful, I still have to micro flake the edge to completely sharpen it but I can finish that tomorrow. I need to start working on the cool flake patterns I see a lot of you apply to your points and blades but I like what I am doing so far.

Nice! Your popping out good ones. Just for hunting there's no need to worry about flake patterns. That's for fancy rich folk. hahaha
May my presence go unnoticed, may my shot be true, may the blood trail be short. Amen.

Getting a little bit quicker, only took about 20 minutes on this one. Made out of the thickest ugliest twisted piece of obsidian in the box. I thought I would not be able to thin it down without loosing to much width or breaking it but I was able to pull the point out of the rock, or knock off everything except the point.

Thank you all for the encouraging comments, at the present time I have been to busy with work and family which has left no time to knap or nap! More to come when I get a few minutes to myself.
