Neighbor told me the carp were rolling good in the lake at the other end of our block so I decided to go carp fishing. Grabbed my osage self bow and taped an old Bear fishing real on it then took a wood shaft with a black walnut 4 point footing on it and drilled a hole just above the flint ridge stone point for the fishing line. It was one of my hunting arrows so I had to make the barbs more pointed while it was mounted on the arrow. It seem to do the trick as I took a 5# bowfin. Will get a photo taken later.
I plan on sharpening the point up for this falls deer hunt.

Good stuff. :)I have been cruzing the back waters on
the damed up portions of the Shenandoah.
No sign of the carp. It's rained for the last ten days.
I hope I haven't missed them. I couldn't find my Bear rig
so---Oh! I bought the bow myself.
