Is this bad, or really bad?
« on: October 22, 2015, 03:17:07 pm »
So the other day I was practicing on a deer target with my Assyrian style bow, and when I unstrung it I noticed a white mark where the sinew is at the end of the upper limb.  Should I be freaked out over this, or is it just cosmetic?  I don't THINK it was there before...

Just guessing, but Id say a boo splinter lifted under it and pushed it up releasing the glue and changing the appearance.

Yea, whether it's a splinter or not, the glue is releasing there. I'd put some thin super glue there and try to soak it in.

A syringe with glue in it would be nice. Fill it up and clamp it all down tight for the night.

You may want to add more sinew wrap over the area too.

Thanks for the tips.  Any particular brand of super glue recommended?  I was really hoping to take this bow to my first deer hunt and was more than a little distraught when I saw the mark.  Especially since I just bought the friggin' thing this summer!

Might should contact the seller if he built it or the builder before performing any work on it

I will do commercials for Loctite if they want. I don't know how many Glass bows I've fixed with it.

Got it, and I'll try sending an email to Grozer, but I'm not expecting much.  :/
