Vanuatu Bows

I was recently perusing the internet and stumbled across these images, on cnn of all places. I thought you might enjoy them. I haven't done any serious research into the bows of Vanuatu, but I think my curiosity will get the better of me soon I'm just busy with school right now.

Yeah, that jumped out at me too. I was a little surprised that was not more consistent. Notably different weight bows perhaps?

 Sloppy Primary and then natural progression to an assisted pinch with heavier bows. Universal in primitive culture.

The thing that really catches my eye is that none of them are the same shape. Some whip tillered bad, some working the grip too hard and some just about right. Makes me wonder if tiller, or whatever their word is for it, matters to them.
