knife scales

My grandpa recently passed away. All of the grandsons got one of his hats, one of his ties, and one of his pocket knives. He loved two types of pocket knives, Barlows and Camillus electricians knives. He gave me a Barlow years ago, so I tool the camillus. It has plastics scales that aren't the best looking. What would you do? Replace them, or leave them?

If its old,old they are probably Bakeolite. If it was me I would leave them,they will polish up very nice with a little compound and a buffing wheel,just dont let them get to hot.

HAHA, point taken guys. This one looks like it still has the packing grease on it. He had about 5 of them. I had to look up what it even was. One regular blade, and one lock blade with a flat head screwdriver head. He was certainly set in his ways. 93 years of life will do that to you. I'll get it polished up and post some more photos.
