Full draw, and throwing heat.

I never posted a full draw photo of my board bow. I asked Tyke to take one tonight while we were shooting, and he shot a video instead. The first arrow is a heavy dowel with a steel 150 grain broad head. Any critique on form will be welcome. Does it seem fast to you? It seems pretty quick to me.

Looks good.  It looks like a smooth shooter and sees to shoot fast.

It may just be my novice coming out, but I am slowly drawing it a bit more every session. It draws about 27. The feel is what I am going off of on release. Thanks for the info.

Her tiller looks good, JoJo and she seems to have good cast. It's really hard to tell without actually being there. .

How do you determine cast? I am pleasantly surprised at the speed. I need to take it in and have it chronoed. The archery department at Scheels said they would let us test them there.

I never can seem to draw new bows fully either...it helps (for me at least) to have something like tape on the arrow so I feel it at the correct draw length, then practice drawing it with my eyes closed and feeling what it is like to get to full draw.  You know it will make it to 27 in one part of your brain, but another part is probably waiting for an explosion!  Once you have done that for a while, it should be easier.

For chrono numbers to be relevant you need to know the weight of your arrow.

I haven't weighed the Bamboo ones yet, I will when I get home. The first one shot is a poplar dowel with a 150 grain broadhead, it weighs in at about 850 grains. The bamboo are much lighter.

If you exercised it and got full draw you should be able to just yank it back to your anchor point and be really close to fully drawn
