Indiana Archer Bow?
« on: June 19, 2014, 04:02:40 pm »
Hi folks,
Not even sure how I wound up with this Jr. bow but it is pretty sweet.
It hangs above my head in my computer room.
I'm guessing lemonwood with a fews years on it.
Have any of you all come across a bow like it?
It has Donald Byers name and a sticker with what I think says,
Indiana Archer Evansville Indiana?
Thanks

Ill bet dollars to donuts Mr. Byers made that bow himself. That's a very cool treasure. Even if your the only one who thinks so.

I've got a lite weight one that looks just like it but no decals. I glued the handle back on and I'm gonna give it to one of the kids in the neighborhood.

I think those lemon-wood bows were made and sold a lot at one time. Donald probably just put his name on it to indicate he is the owner.

Thanks for all the replies.
I wanted to give a few more details.
The bow is 60 and 3/8 "
I" wide limbs and a hole in one end. On a slight angle. ???
The limbs are like new straight.

From the look of he fades, nocks and the string keeper hole in the tip I'd say it was homemade.
