Just skinned a tail last week .
And Tess I've eaten them before , not the tails , slow roast and pulled like pork with some homemade BBQ sauce , also smoked , good eating .

I was taught early on that if your eating beaver and it tastes like tail, your doing something wrong!
. That being said, long ago I tried cutting beaver tail into chunks and using it for a stew base in the crock pot. It was nasty! However, if you debone the rest of the beaver and slow cook it in the crockpot in beef bouillon, that's some fine vittles! Josh

Yeah, if I had seen it hit or knew better how long it was there I would have had to have just said to heck with it and got the whole thing. I am still wishing I had skinned it for a quiver or something.
