Nice work Bowtario!  I am going out tomorrow with the flinter looking for her boyfriend, you know the one with the fancy headbones!

Been raining here for a week, not good flintlock hunting weather. I am going this afternoon with Mr Beck, got a special place picked out. I have plenty of meat, will only shoot a nice rack antlered buck if one happens by. I will keep the backstraps and donate the rest to "Hunters Feeding the Hungry", if I happen to get lucky. The rut is just now kicking in big time where I hunt.

Here is Mr Beck;

Best wishes on your hunt Jdub, Hope you see the buck of your dreams, and can calm yourself enough to make the shot count.  :)

Kevin, Got it, hence the name Buffalogobbler.  ;) yea yea I got it now.

Nice flinter Eric. I buried my Brother with a sweet flintlock, but have never had one myself. Hope to have my own someday.

I've seen two original J.P. Beck longrifles in my life.  Both were fairly plain working man's guns, making them very unusual to have survived long enough for me to see 'em.  Yours looks much like his extraordinary workmanship, Eric.

Thanks for the sentiment, Bowtario, but I blew it again.  Somehow I am able to move very quietly and stealthily, enough so that I have been busting deer at 40 yds and less.  I just don't see'em until they raise their tails to wave buh-bye at my!
