Musings in Pedernales, Rootbeer, Fort Payne, and Georgetown that picked up from Curts Cherts at the Skunk River knap in. Some ABO some not.

That's quite a variety. That purplish dove looks just like some Bandera stuff I picked up years ago. If it was Curtis Smith he is a knapper extraordinar! And I know where his rock stash is

Yea it was Smith. And yea his knapping skills are pretty much second to none. Super nice guy too.

I got with him at his knap-in at Weatherford several years back and made him show me. I never seen anybody isolate such a small platform then rare back and "smack!" such a large thin flake off! I shoulda paid more attention.

Yea his short bopper hold and straight in palm punch-like swing are really interesting to watch. He really has it dialed down.
