I built one from HL and i thought it was tricky. I overbuilt mine and it is still shooting, but it is strange bow wood to me. The grain is beautiful on honey locust.

My oldest bow is honey locust although I had to repair it with rawhide a few months after finishing it
To be honest it's alittle on the brittle side so take it slow It makes a fast bow and a good lookin bow
