effect of heat on laminated bow?

i like to put a parafin finish on my selfbows, applied with a heat gun.

i am planning on trying my hand at making a bamboo backed bow and i was wondering if applying a parafin finish with a heat gun would cause a problem with the glue joint.

   Steve, I use heat to apply bees wax, doesnt take all that much heat, just dont let the heat penetrate to the glue joint and you should be fine. steve

Dont you find bees wax too sticky afterwards

I just finished redoing the shape of an R/D bow I'm working on.  I made the original too long, piked it, and put it back into the form to redo the shape.  I really poured the heat to it. The resorcinol glue I used did not seem affected and I improved the shape a little.
