indeed! I stopped by the grocery store and took a few extra steps to thank some of the firefighters who helped put out the fire near my home.

We ask a lot of these men and women, more than most folks would abide.  A year ago we lost 4 in an tanker crash here in the Black Hills.

When I heard this, I dug out my last Red Card and held it close while I prayed.  There's a lot of folks in wildland fire suppression that made a great impression on me, I prayed for them all, and prayed again for those I didn't meet.

What a terrible tragedy. I think I have had a tendency to take some of our police and fire department personnel for granted. I pray for the family and friends of those lost. Thanks to you guys for your commitment and sacrifice.
For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.
