Arundinaria on the Hudson river?

I'm looking for a source of river cane around 100 miles north of NYC. Only nane I have come up with is Arundinaria not sure if it grows this far north. Anyone havw any info on river cane around Kingston N.Y.?

  I don't think that you will find any that far north. If I'm not mistaken it doesn't grow any further north than Maryland.      Steve

I think there's Tonkin cane up there.  Just drive along the highway until you see a big orange sign that says "Home Depot" on it.  I think they also grow under the big blue sign that says "Wal-Mart".   >:D

I cut a few dozen growing around the base of an old tree couple months ago.

I made an arrow 5 years ago from a plum shoot, back when I shot a 15# compound.
It was probably my best arrow then, but I couldn't fletch or straighten.
They are decent.
