Digital scale for draw weight?

I guessed on my draw weight for my last bow but seeing as to how this next one isn't for me I'm trying to get it at a specific draw. My bathroom scale you press on w/ your foot, wait for it to say 0, then step on to get your weight. When I had my bow pulled down and it didn't weigh any different from just my tillering tree. Does that trick only work on old fashion bathroom scales

Never used that method,  but walmart has a 50# fish scale for around 5 bucks

I take it this is what you mean:

I don't see how I can measure my full draw weight, the scale part on goes down like 2 inches

I think they have luggage scales that go to a little higher weight and still pretty cheap.

You pull the bow with the scale

I tried two types of digital luggage type scales and whilst they had a pretty accurate read out they had one major draw back. After pulling the scales a few times they both locked onto a certain draw weight, your then had to press a reset button to get them reading again. Complete pain in the rear. I still keep one to act as a reference but still stick to an analog jobby.

You need a tillering block on the wall with a pulley on the floor to use those scales. The hook grabs the string where you would and the handle is tyed to the rope going down to the pulley. You pull it down and the scale tels you the weight.

You really should just get a scale I have an old antique spring scale that goes up to 150 pounds it's perfect I bet you could find some cheap on eBay
