some hints?

I'm thinking the bottom limb below the handle is stiff. Anything else? Thanks for any advice.

I am no expert and may be way out of line to say... on that note... I think they are stiff but wait for one of the VETS here to give you advice... A closer picture would help too

Your right, the bottom limb is straight and the upper is juuust ahead of it. Your bow should look like a half football when its full drawn. Starting right at the fades and continuing until the limb recurves or stiffens on a conventional bow.

That looks like one mighty long bow. A bigger pic would help.

That is the classic example of a whip tillered bow. Only the outer third of each limb is working. Esssentially, it's a really short bow, with a very long handle.
Get the limbs moving from the fades to the outer third. The bottom limb is worse.

Not really whip tillered since it appears to have static ends. Actually in some situations this is "proper tiller". Badger theorizes that a bow bending more near the handle stores more energy and a bow with outboard tiller shoots a light arrow better.
A nice even bend is desirable for basic shooting of normal arrows though.
I'd like to see this bow shoot a few flight arrows though.

Looks a little stiff on bottom and top first 1/3 out of the fads ,more on the bottom but would love to see it un strung.

Do you get a feeling of stacking with it? If not, then looks good to me. Jawge

Being new to this and this only my 6th bow it felt smooth to pull. Not the weight I wanted but I'm getting closer. But I've already made corrections to the top and bottom limbs. Now both sides are at 6 1/4" from limb to string at about 4" out from fades. And the tips line up at 12" on my tree when pulled to 26". This was my 1st try at bending the tips and heat treating. The bow is 72" ttt and 71 1/2" ntn made of red oak. Right now it's 38# @ 26". Thanks for the feedback.

Well its a long way from the last post. It's now 57" ttt 55 1/2" ntn and 55# @ 26". I tried to make my tips look the same on bends and messed up and had to cut some off. I'll try and get a full draw.

Both are stiff and the bottom more so.
