Archer's Hood
« on: December 05, 2012, 04:50:50 am »
I'm sure this is the wrong forum, but I was wondering if anyone had a pattern or such of the suede hood worn by Russell Crowe in Robin Hood?  I am looking to make one for those days when it's a little drizzly outside during a hunt.

these are pretty easy to make and are basically  a small cloak just worn on the shoulder I wear mine under
my waxed cloak as the leather keeps the rain from soaking in on the flattest spot there. you are cutting a
circle of fabric 24 inches in diameter  with a space for a head cut in  or just cutting two side profiles and sewing together.
will pm a website with a pattern

those squares are 13 inches, front is left back is right back is extend for further waterproofing
oiled leather that i was lucky enough to have skinned of a an old couch

oh and Hello to everyone first post but long time lurker

the flight is long and high
it sails away and goes astray

I made my own pattern using these instructions. Just cut two of them out and sew them together. You can line it, but I didn't line mine.
