Mullet's Australian Pine
« on: December 14, 2012, 03:20:40 pm »
I had made an A.P. blank with little Ipe knocks glued on and gave it to Eddie last weekend.  He didn't take long at all to get it to shoot.
The piece had some funkiness to it with some twist and bend.  He made it work but I think Australian pine should be real straight when cut.  Here is a video and a few photos.

That Aussie Pine must be purdy good stuff. I would have expected wider limbs, for sure! It sounds like she flicks an arrow pretty good!!

Years ago I was gifted a stave of that wood.  I calculated the density and it is denser than osage. I ended up making the bow way too wide. Looking good, Parnell. Jawge
