Staic Recurve and draw/force curve.

Hi guys,
This is my first post here, I usualy hang out on Paleoplanet.
So a big hello from England to you all on this fine forum!!!!
I've been building wood bows for a number of years now both self bows and laminated.
I now have rack full of good shooting bows straight bows.
So I decided to try someting a little diifferant
A sinew backed osage recurve...
specs as follows

64" long before recurving.
5" curves at 70'
1.75" wide to well after mid limb.

I've got a string on it and have noted the following draw weight/draw length.

11lb @ 6"
16lb @ 8"
22lb @ 10"

I know that this design has a high early draw weight. But I do not know how much and I need to know the weight that this bow is heading for as I do not wish for it to come in under weight. I'm looking 50Lb at 28.
Any one have draw force curves for simiar bows?
Any advice at all ?

Spinney, you really can't tell this early on, normally with a bow that long it would end up drawing slightly over 2# an inch witht he reflex you have. If your goal is 50# then just work it till it is drawing 50# and see where that happens, Have you let your sinew dry and cure sufficiently? If not it will add weight and change tiller later. Steve

The sinew has been on for three weeks now and its fairly humid in England always around 70%,
So I guess It will never realy dry out properlyand induce a reflex.
I used the sinew only as insurance against the back splintering.
I just really want to know whether the figures I'm getting are in the right ball park?

Im with Badger.  I like to get it to final weight as fast as I can. I leave enough wood to be hitting 50# at 12 inches if that is what I want to end up with. Then you just remove enough to be 50# at 13", then 14 and so on.  I think you will have plenty as long as you dont have any major tillering problems.  Justin
