First bow

I have been lurking and learning on this site for about a year.  I built this bow for my wife, its a red oak board bow.  It is 61" NTN
1 1/4" at the fades, tapering to 3/8" at the tips.  I backed it with silk [old necktie].  I wanted it to be in the 30-35 lb range.  It pulls 30 lbs at 29'.  My wife's draw is only 26' but I tillered it out to 29 so I could shoot it also. Now I will have to tackle the staves I've had curing, 2 Crepe Myrtle and 1 nice osage.  Pics are not great but here the are.

Hey, that looks real nice! I am new to this site and trying to figure out how to post to the entire community? Do you know how?
Also, I have thought about using a neck tie as you did. Do the seams matter any?

Thanks all, I finished shooting it in today, over 150 arrows so far.
It looks like its going to hold together, so I'm gonna finish it.  It tales 2 1/2'" of set right after unstringing but comes back to 1 1/2" after it sets.

You did a fine job on that piece of oak. I like using ties because they already have a design and they are inexpensive at the thrift store.
