Both are very nice!!!

I just picked up some pieces of cholla on a trip  (none here in Il.)  Wondered how to use what I brought back??   What did you fill the cholla with so as to fill the voids and finish?

    Thanks for any help, Lowell

Many thanks, gentlemen.

Lowell, I filled the cholla with a plumber's epoxy putty, then pushed the tang in to make a hole for it.  Then pull the knife back out and let the epoxy set up over night.  The next day I coat the tang with regular epoxy, insert it into the handle, put the butt cap on, and peen the tang over it.  Tai Goo, a great knife maker from Arizona, like to fill cholla with pine pitch.  There are some examples of his on his website.
