The few that I have made were about 40# or less and looked like they were 70#, very light wood. I would build the bow according to its density. I think the erc will come in below 50 so figure about 1.5 times as wide as a hickory.

Brock, Look down in gullies and canyons. The trees on the north facing slopes have to grow taller to reach the sun. Or... try looking for a big tree out in the middle of the pasture and cut one of those limbs that grow horizontal. Ron
