HI, I am making a red oak board bow and it has a .5 inch of set or bow on one limb. I have not started tillering yet but my question is should i try to straighten the bent limb before i start tillering? If so how would i fix it? THanks

I would make that the back of your bow... turn the deflex into reflex and leave as is...

I already backed the bow and the handle is glued on. If i lay the back on a flat surface the one limb is .25 inches off the surface.

I would leave it as is.. There is not much you can do about it now that the backing is glued on and .25 inches is insignificant.
