This is the third bow like this I`ve made..Its Shagbark hickory 51" nock to nock 2" wide tapering to 1" at the nock..The others I made came in 50ish pounds at 26"...Question I have if I sinew back this bow can I get a draw length of 28" around 50#??

I make mainly short bows but they will bend in the handle some. If you plan on keeping the handle stiff, I think 28" will be overstressing that length. IMO

I agree with Jon. You are using a bulbous handle so it is pretty easy to get the handle to give a bit when you hit full draw. Is the bow tillered now?

No it isnt tillered now...I`ve just sanded and cleaned it up a bit...Guess I better stick with the 26" draw max and not back it with sinew

26" would be pushing a hickory bow that short without sinew. Add sinew and tiller it to 26".

I think you could if you reflex the tips and deflex it coming out of the fades.
