One thing I have learned is that it is sometimes difficult to identify trees just by looking at the bark. Some of them are pretty obvious but on most trees the bark can vary a lot depending on the age and size of the tree. You could get a tree id book a with a key in it and its pretty easy to figure out what they are. I have one that has a winter and summer key for local trees. I used to hate getting out in the woods in the spring and summer but that was before I was lookin for bow wood.
