New Cherry bow, silk backed.

I've got a cherry stave that needs a year or so to dry. What are the dimensions of your bow? Do you need to back Cherry? Do you always use a flat belly? Sorry for the questions but I don't see much info around on cherry other than how hard it is to work. Your is short and looks to be a real shooter

1-3/4 at the widest 1-1/2 mid limb to 3/8 tips. I tend to work everything green and then let if dry before tillering. I haev however made a kuksa (sp?) from this stuff which was pre-seasoned and it was like carving concrete!

It's nice stuff just don't forget your mask if scraping, I did and reacted badly!
Lesson learned here..
