well I'm sure proud of him.
When I went to get my buddy to help me drag him out (I felt the need to rush a bit as he had to meet his customers at the house he's building for them) he asked if I had found it (likely thinking that I may need help with blood trailing.) "Dead" was my response. So then he asked "big doe ??"
to which I responded "6 pointer." Heck I think he was nearly as proud of my accomplishment as I am,, as he knows it's been a long time in the works.

......more little tidbits are likely to be added as they come to me  ;)

thanks again everyone!!

I was hunting on a farm in Nottoway County (which is southwest of Richmond.)
I hunted out there yesterday afternoon for a while but all I saw was squirrels and mosquitoes. Oh well,
I'll keep trying!

很羡慕,在我的国家,只有在森林保护区和动物园才能看到这种动物。大多数这种体型的动物在野外被猎杀都是违法的。

In spite of all the bad publicity, the US is still a land of many freedoms that we take for granted sometimes.  We need to stop and count our blessings from time to time and be glad that we can enjoy all this.  I feel sorry for people who can't indulge in some of life's simple pleasures the way we do here.
