OK here's the scoop. I'm heading out to get married on Thursday and I won;t be back until 7/9 or so. And because I am 95% done on this bow I have to post it just to tease you a little.
I am pretty hooked on cherry bark for backing, but since I have never seen this on yew, I figured I would post some pics and let everyone know what it looks like. I was shocked @ how well the edges cleaned up, it's almost seamless. That's why I'm posting a lot of these pics.
I'll post the final bow in mid July.
For those of you who know what happened to my last yew bow I built, it broke when Ken (age 74) shot it for the 50th time or so. This is his replacement and was the last stave I owned. I'm hoping the backing, and better tillering will do the trick!
