You guys have bow failures???? ;D
Some while ago a fellow stopped by the house. I was just finishing up and testing a new yellow wood longbow. "hey, that looks pretty good" he said, "how many of them things you made"?

"Oh, 50-60 I guess" was the reply. "Three of them didn't break or blow up, and this ONE seems to shoot fair!"

I guess thats the way of this hobby...if you make bows some is gonna fail..unless you do it safe and booring,but then you wont learn anything either.
@Johnston I took a pic of the riser this morning and one of the break,Its intresting to see how the wood fails in compression.

Ouch!!
Sorry for your loss, looks like maybe there was a hinge that could have caused that since it broke so close to the fade? Just guessing.

No worries Semo,i knew it would be shortlived but it was fun building and nice to shoot...cant ask for more.
And yes,it was a hinge there,blackhawk commented on it earlier.It was just noticable on the tree,but after 200 arrows there was no doubt.
