Went an cut a black ash tree for a friend  to make baskets, We stripped the bark off so I thought I would make a container, I don't know much about this but did some reading an saw a picture one time. I used spruce roots from under my yard trees, Any suggestions for a handle or straps or any other tips appreciated. Thanks for lookin. Bob

Cool bob..looks like pretty thick n strong bark once dried n finished. Now what type of junk ya gonna put in it?  A fish basket maybe? I peeled a piece of 7' long bark off a half split from an elm tree off for bow wood and the ends curled perfectly together like a funnel and now I use it as a downspout off a gutter to further direct the water away from my house. Looks real redneck but it works great and free. I got two other small ones I might cut shorter n lace em together for quivers or small carriers.
