thanks for the ideas Marc,
i've made the sinew patch,and it seems to holding ok shooting some arrows this evening.
in the pic. the string wrap is more or less to hide the not so pretty ends where i skived the sinew down
tapering it to the bow surface .didn't want the sinew to just end abruptly.
the tillering IS a little out of wack....the patched limb shows the most arc
if i re tiller i'm obviously going to lose #
but at least i have something to shoot with,till my other bows are workable.
and i also learned that in an emergency a slight crack CAN be patched
so..... its not quite ready to become kindling.
