thats a deal to me considering a red oak board that size is about twice as expensive.

And from what I've seen not much ipe is needed to make a bow.

Sounds like a very good deal.

Make sure you can select the boards yourself, so you can hand pick the best boards.

Very good deal compared to what I can get it for here. Here it is around $6-$9 per board foot so an 8' board in those dimensions would be around $20-$40 depending where the price is falling at the moment.

That is a good deal.  Like the others said take you time and pick out some nice stuff.  Grab up what you can afford.  Lumber prices fluctuate just like everything else, and with stuff starting to finally turn around it will probably  be going up soon.

Very good price.  A 4" board is around $3.50 ft, a 10" board is $10.00 ft.  At least thats what I have paid here in SC.

Yeah I got a hold of some perfect quarter sawn the other day for a friend of mine in TN.  The grain was perfectly straight for the full 12' of the board.  I cut it in half and shipped it to him.  It was very nice wood.

Thank you mucho for the info. I'm gonna get as many as I can get. Since I'm taking the BBI bow class at the classic it is perfect timing.

Did I forget to mention that he is going to diliver???  8)
