BBI For A Friend
« on: February 09, 2011, 08:17:51 am »
I've been working on this since just after Christmas. Its for  someone that is becoming a very good friend. I my never meet Him due to geographical regions and the length of drive. Y'all know Him as half eye. I talk to Rich about every day on the phone He has given me advice on bow buildingHimsent me bow wood and even just talk about the weather. Rich, I hope you enjoy it.

It's a BBI 66"t2t  64"ntn 53# @28" width is 1" tapering to 1/2 at the tips. 5/8" from fades to 3/8 at nocks. The handle is built up leather strips wrapped in the same soft leather I made Pat's quiver for the exchange. String silencers are rabbit fur

I love handle wraps like that. Kinda like a golf club. Do you fold the end under when you get to the end? Or use barge cement as you wrap?

the lower part is raised up,
the part that has too much is reduced,
the part that has too little is increased."

Pat, you would be suprised to know I only have 1 that I made, gave the rest away. Gonna make me a couple though when I get these last 4-5 out the door to friends.

I have recieved so many nice bows from PA fellas that I probably wont live long enough to kill deer with all of them.....but damned if I aint gonna give it a go!!!!!
