I go along with darcy, if you have a bending handle D bow their is a lot of working lib their, 2" of set is basicaly nothing and indicates only a small strain on the wood if the set is evenly distrubuted. Moisture plays a huge factor here, Very dry bows may fail before they take set. Too moist of bows start taking set prematurely. For an all purpose bow I like to see them around 8 or 9% max. They will normally take a little set here but should be durable and still perform well. Amount of working limb is proably biggest factor, if imb is bending in a very small area then 2" of set might be huge. Steve
