Silk backing

Hey guys! anyone know where I can buy silk for some silk backing?

Goodwill, thrift stores, etc!  Silk neck ties(for decorative silk backings), blouses and dress shirts (for white, plain colors and decorative backings) or by the yard at a fabric store like Hancocks Fabrics.  You might even find some at art supply stores like Michaels.
  Silk makes a great backing because it is strong, somewhat stretchy, relatively light in physical weight and is natural.

My daughter's and wife would give me old silk dresses. The seams got wrapped with thread. Jawge

I bought a couple  yard at a fabric store, I called before I went on the road and bought some gold & black .
